Since an early age David has had a love of wildlife, wild places, adventure and exploration. Having grown up in Africa he returned to his native England in 1985 and embarked on a career in film and TV design. He took up photography initially as a pastime but after commercial interest in his images he embarked on his first photographic expedition to the Amazon, and he has never looked back!  Since then he has worked in rainforests, deserts, polar regions, caves, mountains, wildlife reserves and oceans on and around all seven continents and in 55 countries (and counting!) His first love will always be the African bush, savannah and deserts and he strives to be there on a photographic trip at least once a year.

David's notable credits include Geo, National Geographic Publications, Illustrated Science, as well as numerous nature, travel, adventure and educational books, magazines, newspapers, calendars and exhibition media.

As well as his photographic work David is also an accomplished artist, illustrator and award-winning exhibit and immersive environment designer. He lives in the beautiful Yorkshire Dales in the North of England.
